Oakmeadians Old Gits are proud to announce the 1st Touch Rugby festival being held this year at the club.
This event is being held in Meyrick park on Bank holiday Monday the 25th August 2008, we would like to make this an annual event and part of the calendar for many years to come, there are 4 trophy’s to be awarded at the event the Cup, Plate, Bowl, and the most converted of all the wooden spoon, plus medals for all the competitors.
The Acorns, Mini and Youth squads will be running stalls around the pitches on the day to make this a fun family day for all, they will be raising funds for the club to improve the training facilities for the Acorns, Mini and Youth squads. These children are from all areas of our community; we now have over 350 members between the ages of 6 and 17.
Sponsorship/donations are more than happily accepted and any donations from £50 would be thankfully received and mentioned in the festival program, any donations over £500 will be classified as a main event sponsor.
We are being joined by teams not just from around the area but much further afield which will result in a great day of competitive fun rugby. Each team needs to be pre-registered at a fee of £20
