Ad Hoc Triangular at Blandford

On Sunday 30th September the U15's travelled to Blandford to find
that they had double booked and Dorchester had also arrived.
After deliberation it was decided that a triangular competition
would take place.
We played Blandford first and the boys came out of the blocks
flying they were encamped in Blandfords 22 for long periods and
finally the pressure told with Matt Ward going over in the right
had corner. Tommy Keir going close with the conversion.
Half time came with us leading 5-0. The second half was a mirror
image of the first and midway through the half the ball was swung
out to Jordan Wheeler on the right wing who outpaced the opposition
and scored in the corner. Tommy, having had a practise, slotted
over an excellent conversion. We maintained the pressure but were
unable to score any more points. We won the game 12-0.
After only 5 minutes rest they took on Dorchester (who last year
put nearly 50 points on us). The game was very nip and tuck and
although both teams played very committed and hard rugby the whole
match was played between the 22 metre areas and at the final
whistle the score of 0-0 was a fair result for both teams.
Great efforts from Josh Rumble playing his first game at Prop and
Gavin who found that full back is better than he thought.
Next match in two weeks against Swanage and Wareham, keep the good
work up.
