Oakmeadians ladies rugby team are a Bournemouth based club who play in Championship South West 2.
The team finished third in the league for the 2009/10 season after a great season and are determined to win the league in 2010/11!
Based at Meyrick Park near Bournemouth Town Centre, the women’s rugby team train on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm. Matches are played on Sundays and social events are organised regularly. The team is coached by John Ackerman who is a very experienced coach, having coached the Royal Navy, and is a huge asset to the team.
In the summer season the ladies also play 7’s and 10’s tournaments, reaching the semi final of Bournemouth 7’s in 2010.
The ladies have big hopes for this season and always welcome new faces at training whether a newbie wanting to have a go or an experienced player, everyone is welcome!
