Oakmeadians Ladies rugby team are a Bournemouth based club who will be playing in Championship South East 2 for the 2011/12 season.
After a very successful season the Ladies won their league by a staggering 579 match point difference and also topped the Rugby Round Up Raptor League in all three categories! Sadly the Ladies were denied promotion in the play-offs but are determined to repeat their league-winning performance this year!
Based at Meyrick Park near Bournemouth Town Centre, the women’s rugby team have their main team training on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm. Matches are played on Sundays and social events are organised regularly. The team is coached by Tim Flower who is a very experienced and dynamic coach and will be spurring the girls on to greatness this season.
In the summer season the ladies also play a number of rugby 7’s tournaments including Bournemouth 7’s, Lytchett 7’s and Solstice 7’s in Beeston.
The ladies have big hopes for this season and always welcome new faces at training whether a newbie wanting to have a go or an experienced player, everyone is welcome.
