Oakmeadians u16s have been together for a few years now and are looking forward to another winning season. The squad came 3rd in county this year narrowly losing in the semi final to Sherborne, but then having a convincing win against the other semi final losers. We were given the Oakmeadians president’s award last year for our huge improvement on the pitch and our team efforts in the club along with the help many parents who pitch in at any time. Some of our squad entered the O2 scrum on the beach tournament winning the plate and the RFU beach tag tournament at Branksome Poole where we won the cup. We where also the youngest team to take part in the Oakmeadians touch festival and won the bowl.

Head coach Andy Barrett (Twiz) has been with this age group from the start and this season is being assisted by Steve Harman Jnr and Adie Ward.
We are planning an Easter tour to Lydney this year following our successful odd sock tour last season to Devon.

The squad is looking forward to the usual paintballing and Chinese meal, and parents will be arranging a special event for the end of this season.

We are proud and grateful to have Carte Blanche developments, BowlPlex, Graffiti Dr Magdon Scaffolding and Woodmace Civil Engineering sponsoring us this year.
