Great Tag Rugby for boys and girls with the emphasis on FUN & ENJOYMENT!
We have a squad of about 20 children, training is on a Sunday morning at Meyrick Park near the golf club car park from 10.00am until 12.00 noon.
We play/train every Sunday with home and away matches played against local sides, including Swanage & Wareham, Dorchester, Blandford, Bridport and Weymouth amongst others. We have a great team of managers, assistants and coaching staff who make sure everything runs smoothly throughout the season. We also have a great network of parents who help run the squads, from sponsoring kit, providing first aid cover, arranging tournaments/parties and helping in the clubhouse/kitchen as required, as well as supporting all the players at training and on match days!
Our coaching team is lead by Carrie who is Level 1 qualified and is assisted by, Larry and Rob who is also Level 1 qualified, between them they have many years experience coaching the young acorns. During the season they also arrange to attend tag tournaments such as the St Patricks Day Festival at Reading followed by the St Patricks Day Party at London Irish which is our local Guinness Premiership Side, and the London Double Header Tag Festival with the chance to play on the hallowed turf of Twickenham!
