Volunteers Required!

First off we’d like to thank all those hard working parents who step and volunteer to help throughout the Acorns and the wider club whether it’s coaching, behind the bar or most importantly in the kitchen turning out endless coffees and bacon rolls!
We have now a few vacancies which we’d like people to step up and be counted for.. Most of the roles only take an hour or two a week at best and have a massive effect on the running of the club.
Currently we are looking for:
Acorns tour and tournament co-ordinator
U7s manager
U7s 1st aider
U8s 1st aider
We will be running a 1st aid course in the summer should people want to get up to speed and maybe train as additional volunteers, the more the merrier.
If you want to meet lots of people and have a great laugh (and even keep in the warm during the winter) volunteers are needed to help do bar and kitchen duty on Sundays. If you haven’t done the bar or the kitchen, ask those that have and have thoroughly enjoyed it! More than a few people have wanted to go out and run a pub after a stint behind the Oaks bar.

Bournemouth Oakmeadians RFC have recently gained the prestigious RFU seal of approval.
The Active Sports 'Seal of Approval' accreditation programme forms an important part of Community Rugby's drive towards supporting clubs to improve their provision of rugby for young people.
In association with Sport England and the 'Clubmark' scheme, the RFU aim is to set standards of quality control that will produce quality clubs across the country.
The Rugby Football Union has introduced the Seal of Approval as a method of examining, maintaining and improving the provision of rugby in the youth / mini sections of a rugby club.
It aims to recognize the effort and achievement of those clubs that reach and maintain the required standard to meet the various levels of the Seal of Approval.
The Seal of Approval will be used to satisfy the Active Sports Club Registration Criteria for those clubs involved in delivery of the Active Sports Rugby Union Programme.
The criteria for the Sport England ‘Safe, Effective & Child Friendly Club’ mark is integrated within the Seal of Approval.
The RFU Seal of Approval will achieve the Sport England ‘Safe, Effective & Child Friendly Club’.
The Programme was based upon a three year Level I, Level II and Level III Award system in which the club has been assessed on its ability to provide a safe, effective and child friendly club environment.
The Award is an indication of the quality of provision our club offers, and its commitment to the continued development of young rugby players.
The award requires evidence file on all areas of mini / youth rugby including:- Players, Coaches, Referees, Volunteers, Playing & Training, Social events, Equity, Medical & Welfare, Community Links, Finance, Legal & Administration, Facilities & Equipment and Promotion & Publicity.
